GYROTONIC® Apprentice Review with Master Trainer Anne Thomasson

Purpose:

To help Gyrotonic Level I Apprentices expand their experience and understanding of the Gyrotonic Level 1 Foundation Course material and to prepare them for the Gyrotonic Level 1 Final Certificate Course.

The apprenticeship period lasts a minimum of six months and a maximum of one year. During the apprenticeship period, students are required to complete 60 “teaching client” hours and a minimum of 30 supervised apprenticeship course hours. Apprentices complete their supervised apprenticeship review course hours under the guidance and supervision of a Gyrotonic Master Trainer either in the form of a six-day Gyrotonic Apprenticeship Course or by re-taking the Gyrotonic Foundation Course.

Upon successful completion:
Once Apprentices have successfully completed all of the apprenticeship requirements, over a period of 6 mo.-1 year, they can proceed to the Gyrotonic Level 1 Final Certificate Course. At least two weeks must elapse between the last day of the apprenticeship review course and the final certificate course.

Fulfills NPCP- 30 CEC

Conducted By:

Master Trainer Anne Thomasson supervises the 30 hours required in this course. These hours are completed in the form of a Gyrotonic Apprenticeship Review Course. Teaching client hours are conducted independently by the Apprentice.

PURPOSE
This course will provide Gyrotonic Trainers a basic theoretical understanding of breast cancer and some practical tools to work with clients who are living with a breast cancer diagnosis.

The theoretical understanding of Breast Cancer will include information about its origins, prevention, risk factors, anatomy, types of treatments and their consequences.

In the practical part of the course, Trainers will learn 4 customizable exercise progressions that will empower them to better serve their clients/patients. They will learn Gyrokinesis homework sequences designed specifically for this population, and they will learn 4 new programs on the pulley tower. Those four programs will build upon each other, but they can also be presented independently, depending on the needs of each client.

GYROTONIC® Level 1 Foundation

Purpose
To provide a more in-depth understanding of the GYROTONIC® Level 1 curriculum and provide students with the specific skills and techniques needed to teach these exercises to clients.

During this course, a GYROTONIC® Master Trainer introduces the teaching techniques and principles underlying the GYROTONIC® Level 1 exercise syllabus and introduces the complete GYROTONIC® Level 1 exercise curriculum.

Successful completion of the GYROTONIC® Level 1 Pre-Training Course.

Upon successful completion
Once students successfully complete the GYROTONIC® Level 1 Foundation Course, they are considered a GYROTONIC® Apprentice.
